Body of a man recovered at the beach between Shoreline Park and Leadbetter Beach Tuesday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The body of a still unidentified man was recovered Tuesday morning on the beach area between Shoreline Park and Leadbetter Beach.

According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, while the circumstances of his death remain under investigation, his death is not currently considered suspicious.

On Jan. 14, around 7 a.m., dispatchers received a call of a body in the surf line at Leadbetter Beach stated the Santa Barbara Police Department in a press release about the discovery Tuesday.

Witnesses directed responders to the body and responders pulled the man onto the beach where it was officially determined he was no longer alive detailed the Santa Barbara Police Department.

Santa Barbara Police estimate the man to be in his 30s or 40s and no signs of foul play have been discovered at this point in their investigation shared the local law enforcement agency.

Now, officers are working alongside the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Coroner's Bureau to identify the man and contact his next of kin added the Santa Barbara Police Department.
