Santa Maria man arrested Tuesday for physically assaulting and robbing two juveniles
SANTA MARIA, Calif. – A 48-year-old Santa Maria man was arrested after assaulting and robbing two juveniles in the area of the 800 block of E. Orange on Tuesday.
On Jan. 30, around 8:11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Orange for a call of two juveniles physically assaulted and robbed of property by an adult man state Santa Maria Police Department.
According to Santa Maria Police, officers arrived at the residence of the perpetrator in Santa Maria and he refused to exit the home for over an hour.
Eventually, the man was taken into custody and booked into Santa Maria Jail on some of the following charges: PC 211-Robbery, PC 273A(a)-Child Abuse, PC 653X(a)-Misuse of 911 Emergency Line, and PC 148(a)(1)-Resisting/Obstructing/Delaying Arrest.
The Santa Maria man was charged with misuse of the 911 emergency line for his actions the day of the incident and was already known as a serial abuser of the emergency response line detail Santa Maria Police Department.
The Santa Maria Police Department add that the 48-year-old's bail has been enhanced due to the nature of his crimes.
