Car catches fire near North Gaviota Tunnel
NORTH GAVIOTA TUNNEL, Calif. - Santa Barbara Fire responded to a car accident on Highway 101 going north bound.
It happened around 7 p.m. about half a mile North of the Gaviota Tunnel.
The car veered into the center divider and then caught fire.
Santa Barbara Fire said it was "one green tag" which meant the driver self extricated.
The accident only involved one single vehicle.
Fire officials extinguished the blaze and cared for the patient on scene.
The California Highway Patrol will be investigating this incident.
All lanes have since been reopened.
