Consistent into Friday, warmer next week

Near normal temperatures persist for the next several days, with foggy mornings along the coast followed by nice afternoons. Daytime high temperatures Friday will be very similar to Thursday, with coastal areas expecting 60s and 70s. Highs inland will be in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Sundowner winds will crank up by the afternoon Thursday and Friday, but wind speeds are forecasted to remain below advisory levels. The Beach Hazards Statement has expired for the South Coast, but has been extended for Ventura County Beaches. Elevated surf between three to five feet are expected, along with potentially dangerous rip currents. It will be in effect until 8pm Thursday evening.

A ridge of high pressure that is currently parked over Texas will move westward, bringing hot temperatures away from the coast for most of next week. The break from the toasty inland conditions is short-lived, with another heat wave expected to begin Monday and last through the middle of the week.
