Saturday Evening Forecast Jan 21st

Our weather remains very quiet for th most part with just chilly late night and early morning temperatures being our on;y real concern. A Frost Advisory is in effect for portions of the Central Coast where overnight lows could dip below 32 degrees through early Sunday. A Wind Advisory for moderate offshore winds is also in effect and this could actually be helpful for our farmers who are still dealing with all the water and mud damage. The offshore winds usually keep the temperatures just above freezing. So, where those northerly winds blow, we may not have to worry about further crop issues. Sunday will be sunny again with highs in the upper 50's and 60's/

Looking ahead, strong high pressure is keeping the storm track well to our north. We don't see any big changes with the Jet Stream though most of next week. In fact, we should not only more sunshine, but slightly warmer weather as a moderate offshore helps to warm the atmosphere through the work week. More clouds are expected by next weekend as storms drop farther south. Our long range forecast models get a little conflicted through next weekend. Some of the runs keep the storm track well to our north while a few are now seeing maybe a chance for some energy getting close enough to warrant a threat for showers over the weekend. We will monitor closely and update you just in case rain becomes the weather story once again.
