Very, Merry, and warm California Christmas

Thanks to a ridge of high pressure, temperatures will progressively warm up as we approach Christmas Day. Above average highs are expected and some records could potentially be broken over the holiday weekend as well. High temperatures on Christmas Eve will primarily be in the 70s across the entire region, with plenty of sunshine to accompany the warm weather.

A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect through Saturday morning due to the presence of King Tides for Central Coast, South Coast, and Ventura County beaches. King Tides are the highest tides of the year.

We are expecting a stark contrast in the weather next week. A system of rain moves in Tuesday, bringing cooler temperatures and periodic rain for much of next week.
