Friday morning forecast June 11th

Temperatures are continuing to warm by a couple degrees on the coast and up to 10 degrees inland. The coast will be in the upper 60s to 70s and inland areas in the 70s to 80s.

High pressure is building in the region from the south. Gusty winds will continue in Santa Barbara County with an advisory extended through Saturday morning on the South Coast and in the mountains.

The region will keep warming on Saturday, bringing most areas a few degrees above normal. Winds will taper down through the morning hours.

Temperatures step backwards a little on Sunday on the Central Coast with onshore gradients strengthening. Skies may start overcast, but clear through the morning.

By Tuesday, sundowner winds may return and temperatures warm again. Interior areas could see excessive heat by Wednesday or Thursday with a small chance of breaking record highs.
