Tuesday morning forecast – Jan. 14th

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - After a chilly morning with occasionally dense fog for some in San Luis Obispo County, we'll see mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures on Tuesday. Highs will reach the upper-50s and low-60s across the Central and South Coasts. Western Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County could feel some gusty winds up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

We'll see a similar day on Wednesday, with slightly quieter winds and clouds building late in the day. Thursday brings our next chance for rain as a winter storm system rolls through the West Coast. We'll see rain throughout the day on Thursday, with local mountains getting snow down to 3,500 feet. We are expecting up to 0.75 inches of rain for the coast and up to 1.5 inches of rain for foothill and mountain areas.

After the storm passes, we'll likely stay dry through the weekend with temperatures warming up into the upper-60s and even the low-70s for the Santa Barbara area.
