Wednesday morning forecast Jun 3rd

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Wednesday began with more marine layer clouds around the California Central Coast and South Coast, but those clouds will give way to plenty of sunshine and warmth this afternoon, and warmer temperatures than Tuesday. Highs will range from the lower 70s near our milder coastlines to the upper 90s and lower 100s in our hotter inland valleys.

The ridge bringing our state the heat and sunshine today will retreat eastward tomorrow as a large area of low pressure approaches. That will bring more marine layer clouds and a cooling of our highs Thursday and especially Friday. Another storm will approach California on Saturday, and stronger wind will blow late Saturday through Monday before weakening Tuesday.

Daytime highs will peak today, cooling a few degrees tomorrow before much larger drops on Friday. We can expect above average temperatures this weekend and early next week. Coastal areas will have highs ranging from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. Coastal valleys will start in the 80s today, falling to the 70s and lower 80s. Inland valleys will cool from the 100s to the lower 80s.
