Tuesday morning forecast Jun 2nd

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Monday was a comfortable day for most of the California Central Coast and South Coast with our typical June Gloom pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sun. That pattern will repeat today, but it will clear faster than yesterday, and temperatures will starting warming quickly. Highs will range from the lower 70s on our cooler coasts to the lower 90s further inland.

An area of low pressure is stuck off the coast of California at this time, and it won't move much through the latter part of the week. It will get pushed westward enough Wednesday to bring much warmer weather before it moves back toward us Thursday and Friday for a cooldown. Another trough will bring breezes Saturday and stronger wind both Sunday and Monday.

Daytime highs will remain above average for all areas through early next week, but the next few days will be the warmest for everyone. Coastal highs will range from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. Coastal valleys will range from the lower 70s to the mid 80s. Inland valleys will rise into the 90s and lower 100s before cooling to the upper 70s and lower 80s through next Monday.
