Wednesday morning forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - The immediate coastal areas of the California Central Coast and South Coast can expect some areas of low clouds and fog this morning, but high pressure will continue to deliver more afternoon sunshine and above-average highs for us today. Under a mostly sunny afternoon sky, we can expect highs ranging from mid 60s to the mid 70s.

The high pressure ridge over California will be pushed to the east as we progress through the week. We can expect increasing clouds and decreasing temperatures through Saturday. There will be a chance for light rain showers and gusty wind Saturday, a mostly cloudy sky Sunday and Monday, and better chances for much-needed rain will begin by next Tuesday.

Daytime highs will fall from this afternoon through the weekend, warming gradually Sunday through next Tuesday. Highs will decrease from the 60s and lower 70s to the upper 50s and 60s. Overnight lows will remain fairly seasonable, rising as the cloud cover and wind speed increases. Valleys: upper 30s to lower and mid 40s. Coasts: upper 40s to lower 50s.
