Tuesday morning forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Tuesday is beginning quieter and cooler for most parts of the California Central Coast and South Coast, but gusty Santa Ana wind will continue for Ventura County, where a Wind Advisory is in effect through noon. We can expect a mostly sunny to sunny day for all areas with warmer temperatures ranging from the mid and upper 60s to the lower and mid 70s.

A strong ridge of high pressure will keep our weather quiet not only today but also Wednesday. Late this week the ridge will be pushed eastward, allowing onshore flow, cooling and more clouds over California. Friday will be a grayer and cooler day but should stay dry. We'll have a chance for light rain showers and wind Saturday, and a mostly cloudy sky Sunday and Monday.

Overnight lows will begin to warm as our clouds increase toward the weekend, cooling slightly afterward. Valleys: lower 30s to lower 40s. Coasts: mid 40s to lower 50s. Daytime highs will peak Tuesday and Wednesday, bottoming out Saturday before warming to seasonable again. Highs will begin mainly in the 70s, cooling to the upper 50s and lower 60s before warming.
