Tuesday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Another amazing weather day for the California Central Coast and South Coast with abundant sunshine and temperatures well above average for late February. We can expect a clear and relatively seasonable night for all areas as high pressure stays in control of our weather. Overnight lows will range from the upper 30s inland to the lower 50s along the coast.

A giant ridge of high pressure will bring more sunshine and unseasonable warmth to California and the West Coast much of this week. We can expect increasing clouds late Thursday, and a mostly cloudy sky Friday through Sunday. There is a slight chance for light rain late Sunday and early Monday, but we'll receive more wind than rain. Tuesday will be brighter and quieter.

Overnight lows will rise as our wind speeds and cloud cover increase, falling again early next week. Valleys: mid to upper 30s and lower 40s. Coasts: mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Daytime highs will climb to springlike levels through Thursday, then fall below average by Sunday. Valleys: mainly 60s and 70s with a few lower 80s. Coasts: 70s falling back to the 60s.
