Tuesday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - After a chilly beginning to the day around the California Central Coast and South Coast, we had a bright and breezy afternoon with above-average temperatures. Tonight will be another mostly clear and chilly night for most locations, and lows will be similar to this morning. Overnight lows will range from the lower 30s to the mid 40s.

Wednesday will be a pleasant day for our area with plenty of sunshine and weaker wind than Tuesday. A storm will move over California Thursday, bringing us rain from late morning through late afternoon, but amounts won't be heavy. We'll have fewer clouds Friday, a lot of high clouds Saturday, and quieter, warmer weather Sunday and early next week.

Overnight lows will stay chilly in our inland valleys and seasonably cool close to the coast. Valleys: lower 30s to lower 40s. Coasts: lower 40s to lower 50s. Daytime highs will stay below average through Saturday, before warming above average through early next week. Valleys: lower 50s warming to the lower 60s. Coasts: upper 50s warming to the upper 60s.
