Friday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. -

Another storm system is currently just off the West Coast, and it is poised to bring another round of rain to the California Central Coast and South Coast. We can expect increasing clouds tonight with a chance for light rain showers through the morning. Lows will remain mainly in the 50s. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the Central Coast through Sunday morning.

A cold front will push over California during the day on Saturday, bringing areas of rain and gusty wind at times. Rain showers will continue on Sunday. Rain amounts won't be heavy, however, ranging from 0.25" to 1.00". We can expect far fewer clouds Monday, and gradually increasing clouds and increasing temperatures through much of next week.

Overnight lows will begin mild but will cool quickly once our weekend storm leaves late Sunday. Valleys: weekend 50s with 30s and 40s next week. Coasts: 50s cooling to the upper 40s. Daytime highs will be seasonable but will warm through much of next week. Valleys: upper 50s and lower 60s warming to the upper 60s and lower 70s. Coasts: mainly 60s.
