Friday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - We had some stellar weather around the California Central Coast and South Coast on Friday, and this pleasant weather has not come to an end just yet. We do have higher surf in the forecast and a High Surf Advisory is in effect Saturday morning through Sunday morning for the Central Coast. Lows tonight under a mostly clear sky will range from the 30s to the 50s.

A ridge of high pressure will provide sunshine and warmer than average temperatures to our area this weekend and Monday before bigger changes occur as Thanksgiving approaches. We will have more clouds, wind and rain late Tuesday, a better chance for more rain Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day, and lingering rain showers still possible next Friday with much cooler air.

Overnight lows will remain fairly seasonable, but they will cool a lot by late next week. Valleys: mainly 30s through next Friday. Coasts: mainly 40s with a few upper 30s and lower 50s. Daytime highs will be warmest this weekend, much cooler late next week. Valleys: 70s cooling to the 50s and lower 60s after midweek. Coasts: upper 60s cooling to the mid and upper 50s.
