Wednesday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif - It took almost 6 months, but we finally received light amounts of rain around the California Central Coast and South Coast last night and early today. Most areas received less than a tenth of an inch of rain. There is another slight chance for additional light rain showers tonight, but we'll have fewer clouds by morning. Lows will range from the lower 40s to the lower 50s.

Thursday and Friday will be partly cloudy days for our area. Another trough of low pressure will approach California Friday, but it should stay far enough offshore to keep our weather dry. This weekend will be brighter and warmer with offshore flow. We'll have an increase in clouds early next week, and there is a chance for additional rain next Wednesday, but we'll see.

Overnight lows will begin to cool once we lose the clouds this weekend. Valleys: cool 40s cooling into the chillier 30s. Coasts: mild 50s cooling to the cooler 40s. Daytime highs will be below average most weekdays, but near average this weekend. Valleys: mainly 60s with lower 70s this weekend. Coasts: mainly upper 50s and lower 60s, with mid to upper 60s this weekend.
