Tuesday evening forecast

At long last, more seasonable weather has arrived over the California Central Coast and South Coast. We cooled quite a bit today, and there is a slight chance for light rain showers along the Central Coast. A Wind Advisory is in effect through 10pm for the South Coast. A High Surf Advisory is in effect through Thursday for the Central Coast. Overnight lows with spotty, light rain showers will range from near 40 inland to the coastal lower 50s.

An area of low pressure will bring a chance for rain showers to our area late tonight and early Wednesday. Amounts will be generally less than 0.10". We can expect fewer clouds late Wednesday and Thursday, increasing clouds Friday with another chance for light showers, and then fewer clouds late Saturday through Monday. More clouds will arrive next Tuesday.

Overnight lows will be fairly chilly inland and cool along the coast, especially when the clouds depart. Valleys: 30s and lower 40s. Coasts: 40s and lower 50s. Daytime highs will be below average most of the next 7 days through early next week, but warmer this weekend. Valleys: 60s with weekend lower 70s.
