USSF-385 Mission Scheduled for Early Saturday Launch From Vandenberg SFB

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. (KEYT) – A Falcon 9 launch of the USSF-385 mission from Space Launch Complex 4 East is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 26, between 5:56 a.m. and 8:56 a.m. Pacific Time.

If necessary, a backup three-hour launch window has been scheduled for the following day, Sunday, Sep. 27, beginning at 5:49 a.m. Pacific Time.

Details on the payload have not been publicly provided and are likely classified as were prior Space Force launches.

Following first-stage separation, the booster assigned to this launch will return to Earth to land on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship awaiting in the Pacific Ocean.

There is the potential for one or more sonic booms to be heard across the local region during the launch process, but how far the sound travels will depend on weather and other conditions.

This will be the tenth flight for the Falcon 9 assigned to this mission. The same booster previously launched NROL-95 and eight Starlink mission.
