SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - It was short but sweet.

Jelani Hicks resigned as head coach of the San Marcos High School boys basketball program that recently won its third straight Channel League championship.

Hicks was hired in May of 2018.

He coaches a club team and wants to further his coaching resume.
