Deacon Hill is in great shape as he eyes senior season at Santa Barbara High School

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Deacon Hill says he has dropped about 25 pounds in the off-season as he enters his senior year at Santa Barbara High School.

Cardio workouts and plenty of running has left the Wisconsin-commit quarterback in great shape as he leads the Dons in conditioning workouts.

With the Dons graduating several key seniors from last year's CIF-SS Division 8 runner-up team, Hill figures to take on an even bigger role when Santa Barbara begins its season in January.

As a junior Hill threw for over 3,100 yards and had 35 touchdown passes.

Over the summer he was elevated to a 4-star college prospect by 247Sports.

He had thought about graduating early and enrolling at the University of Wisconsin by January of 2021 but when the high school football season was just pushed back and not canceled, Hill knew he would stay and play for the Dons.

The first game of the season is scheduled for January, 8 against St. Joseph.
