ONTARIO, Calif. - Bishop Diego girls basketball had plenty of support in the stands, but its run for a CIF-SS Div. 5A title came up short on Saturday.

The Cardinals had trouble defender a longer and more athletic Ganesha team, leading to a 58-35 loss in the championship game.

Bishop Diego will now play in the CIF state playoffs, with its opponent to be determined.
