Head coaches talk about Santa Barbara vs Sunny Hills CIF D8 title game

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Deacon Hill has thrown 12 touchdown passes in three playoff games this year as Santa Barbara has advanced to the CIF-SS Division 8 championship game.

Sunny Hills has faced talented quarterbacks this year such as La Habra's Ryan Zanelli who has committed to the University of Pennsylvania.

But Lancers head coach Peter Karavedas knows that his team will have a tough challenge trying to slow down the junior Hill who has already verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin.

JT Stone said his team will need a focused week of practice as they get ready for Sunny Hills.

Santa Barbara enters this game riding an 8-game win streak while Sunny Hills has won their last five games.

Maxpreps.com ranks Sunny Hills 132nd in California while Santa Barbara is 160th.

The championship game is Saturday, November 30 at 7pm at San Marcos High School.
