DeWeese and McFarland lead UCSB past Pepperdine and into semifinals of the NCAA Tournament

UCSB defeats Pepperdine 3-1 to advance to the semifinals in the NCAA Tournament in men's volleyball.

COLUMBUS, Ohio. - Fifth-year seniors Randy DeWeese and Roy McFarland each had 21 kills as the third-ranked UCSB men's volleyball team defeated Pepperdine 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 28-26) in an NCAA Tournament quarterfinal match-up.

UCSB advances to play #1 seed Hawai'i in a semifinal game on Thursday, May 6 at 2pm Pacific Time.

The Gauchos were 0-3 this season against Hawai'i.

The Big West Champion Gauchos have now won 11 straight games.
