PASADENA, Calif.- He didn't play but freshman JR Waters was on the sidelines watching his Oregon teammates edge Wisconsin 28-27 in a thrilling Rose Bowl game.

Waters, who graduated Oxnard High School in 2019, suffered an injury before the season started and underwent surgery on his foot.

He is completely healed after missing this year and cannot wait to work this offseason and take the field next season for the Ducks.

Waters did take the Rose Bowl field for pregame warmups and was moving well.

Waters set an Oxnard High School record with 16 touchdown catches in his senior season.
