National Weather Service issues Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for Central Coast areas through weekend
CENTRAL COAST, Calif. – The National Weather Service issued Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for the following areas in Santa Barbara County through 11 p.m. Monday:
- Santa Ynez Valley
- Ojai Valley
- Central Ventura County Valleys
- Southeastern Ventura County Valleys
- Including the cities of Lake Cachuma, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang, Ojai, Fillmore, Santa Paula and more.
Santa Barbara County issued a ReadySCB Alert on Friday afternoon regarding the NWS announcement, advising residents and visitors to drink water and keep your family (including your pets) cool and hydrated. Â
"Check on elderly neighbors and others that may be sensitive to hot conditions," the county said.
