Oxnard Teen Hospitalized and Police Investigating Wagon Wheel Road Shooting

OXNARD, Calif. (KEYT) – Local police are investigating a shooting that hospitalized an Oxnard teen Wednesday night.

On Aug. 12, around 9:06 p.m., first responders were sent to the 2600 block of Wagon Wheel Road in response to multiple reports of a shooting victim in the area stated the Oxnard Police Department in a press release Thursday.

According to Oxnard Police, officers arrived and found a 16-year-old Oxnard resident who had been shot in the upper torso and he was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The local teen remains at the hospital recovering from his wounds shared the Oxnard Police Department.

At this point in the investigation, there is no suspect information and the motive remains unknown noted the local law enforcement agency which is now turning to the public for help.
