Fire teams responded to attic fire at home on Barcelona Street; One person transported with minor injuries

CAMARILLO, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews responded to a fire in the attic of a home in the 100 block of Barcelona Street Friday.

One person was transported from the scene with minor burns to a local hospital for further medical treatment noted the Ventura County Fire Department.

According to the Ventura County Fire Department, firefighters arrived on the scene to discover heavy smoke coming from the home and deployed multiple hose lines as part of an aggressive attack intended to limit the spread of flames to nearby homes.

Around 1:47 p.m. Friday, the majority was reportedly knocked down and crews remained on the scene to monitor the scene shared the Ventura County Fire Department.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation added the Ventura County Fire Department.
