Ventura County substitute teacher Mia Fisch arrested for sending harmful material to a child

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Mia Fisch, a substitute teacher associated with two Ventura County school districts, has been arrested for allegedly sending harmful material to seduce a minor and investigators expect more victims to come forward.

On Feb. 19, 2026, the Moorpark Police Department received a call about a substitute teacher with the Moorpark Unified School District and the Oak Park Unified School District, identified as 31-year-old Mia Fisch, allegedly sending harmful material to an underage student stated a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Friday.

Investigators interviewed multiple people and search warrants for electronic data were executed in connection with the case and detectives were able to develop probable cause to arrest Fisch for violation of California Penal Code 288.2(a)(2)–Distributing, Sending, or Exhibiting Harmful Material to Seduce a Minor shared the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

On March 26, detectives arrested Fisch and she was booked at the Ventura County Jail on the above charge added the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
