Channel Islands Parade of Light show goes on

Boat Parade goes on in Channel Islands Harbor despite earlier wind and smoke from Somis Fire

OXNARD, Calif.-The 57th Annual Parade of Lights happened on Saturday night despite some weather related events nearby.

Smoke from a wind-driven fire in Somis drifted toward the coast during the day.

The Channel Islands harbor monitored the situation and waited for the wind to diminish.

The parade went on as planned at 7 pm. with a Santa's Workshop theme.
