X Games set up nears completion at Ventura County Fairgrounds
VENTURA, Calif.-The X games finals will soon fill the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
Security guards are guarding the fairgrounds while construction crews finish their work.
Soon the world's best skateboarders , BMXÂ and Moto X riders will converge on Ventura.
KTYD's Brad Jay will once again serve as a host and announcer.
He has plenty of tips for locals who want to enjoy it, too.
"X Games Ventura, it has got a nice sounds to it , " said Jay, " So excited that X games is finally here in Ventura where it needed to be, it is going to be awesome, the games are going to open on Friday right about 10 O'clock and on Saturday and Sunday at 9 O'clock. You want to get there early because you don't want to miss any of the X Games action, because it is going to be crazy and it is going to be a whole lot of fun."
Amtrak has teamed up with the X Games to make it easier to get to the fairgrounds where there is a designated stop.
Local skateboarding champ and video-maker Curren Caples will be competing on Friday.
