CHP officers help deliver child on Highway 101 near Ventura
VENTURA, Calif. -- Ventura CHP helped a couple give birth to a healthy baby on Highway 101 back in April.
Ventura CHP posted on Facebook about the harrowing but happy event.
On April 7 afternoon, the couple was driving on Highway 101 on their way to the hospital when the woman went into labor.
The man eventually pulled over and called 911.
Dispatchers were able to help talk to the soon-to-be parents through successfully delivering their baby girl before CHP and medical personnel arrived.
CHP says both mom and baby Eliana are healthy.
They were then both transported to the local hospital.
