One person killed in crash near Lake Casitas

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Lake Casitas on Highway 150 Thursday afternoon.

It happened just after 3 p.m. near the Lake Casitas recreation area.

According to the California Highway Patrol online incident log, a Smart car went off the roadway and ended up on its side. A person was found underneath the overturned vehicle, according to the CHP log.

CHP called for a coroner around 3:40 p.m.

The Smart car was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
