Crews help with car crash over side of Highway 166 near Cuyama Tuesday night

CUYAMA, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Fire Department crews helped with a car crash after the driver went over the side of Highway 166 at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in Cuyama.

Only a single lane of the highway was opened for a certain time, and the SBCFD, along with several other agencies, searched for both a driver and patients, neither of which could be found.

CHP agents were on the scene for possible vehicle recovery after all units returned, detailed the SBCFD.
