3 Vehicles crash on US 101 near Clark Avenue near Orcutt
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County firefighters, Sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol responded to a collision involving three vehicles on the southbound lanes of the US 101 just north of Clark Avenue near Orcutt.
The crash occurred around 10:52 a.m.
Santa Barbara County Fire said the crash involved a vehicle that was towing another vehicle which collided with another car. The vehicle that had been towing a car ended up rolling into the center divider as a result of the collision.
CHP reported that the rolled-over vehicle was possibly a pickup truck. The other two cars, described as a Nissan SUV and a jeep, were found on the right-hand side of the lanes.
Firefighters are working to help the Nissan back up as it reportedly drove about 30 feet off the side of the road and sustained moderate damage to its wheels.
SBC Fire said that two people were injured in the crash. One person was minorly injured and the other moderately. Both were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment. A third person involved was reportedly uninjured.
Minor extrication was required to get one of the patients out of their car. Firefighters said they had to remove a door.
