SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) -

NCAA Men's Soccer: UCSB 2, Gonzaga 1: First half goals by Jack Middleton and Kaden Standish led UCSB to road victory. The Gauchos (7-3-4) Donovan Sessoms picked up a red card in the 86th minute and will have to sit out UCSB's next game at Cal State Fullerton.

Cal Poly 3, Utah Valley 1: The Mustangs got goals by Finn Linas, Ryan Firouznam and Charlie Hogan in the home victory. Cal Poly improves to 5-4-5 on the season.

Big West Women's Soccer: UCSB 1, UC Irvine 0: Ava Jarolimek scored the lone goal of the match in the 21st minute as UCSB moves to 8-2-5 on the season and 3-1-2 in the Big West. Maddie Buckley made 3 saves to record her 6th clean sheet of the season. UCSB was coming off a 5-0 loss to Cal State Fullerton.

"We challenged our girls and said we need a response," said UCSB head coach Paul Stumpf. "Wednesday night, we had two very good days of practice, and the response was clear tonight. Shutting out a very talented team, finally getting a goal, Maddie [Buckley] wasn't threatened too much at all. I felt we had a couple of really good looks at the goal, and was very pleased about the character, the culture, and the chemistry of this group."

Cal Poly 1, Cal State Northridge 1: Ruby Casey scored her second goal on the season as the Mustangs (5-5-4, 3-2-2) earned a tie on the road. Casey's goal came in the 26th minute on an assist from Miah Thomas to knot the game at 1.
