Man dead after two-car crash in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – A 45-year-old Santa Paula man died after crashing his Honda into a BMW on Vineyard Avenue, according to the CHP.

Ventura CHP, Fire and an AMR vehicle arrived at the crash scene and found both cars damaged.

The 22-year-old Santa Paula woman driving her BMW suffered major injuries after the 45-year-old Honda driver crashed into her after an unsafe turn, according to the Ventura CHP.

The Honda driver crossed both yellow lines into traffic when he crashed head on into the BMW, according to the Ventura CHP.

A female juvenile in the front passenger seat of the BMW suffered minor injuries and both her and the driver went to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment, according to the Ventura CHP.

It is unknown whether or not drugs or alcohol played factors in the crash and those with more information on the crash are asked to contact the Ventura CHP.
