Foresters go 3-0 in pool play at NBC World Series

WICHITA, Kansas. (KEYT) - The Santa Barbara Foresters finally allowed their first runs at this year's National Baseball Congress World Series but they still have not lost.

The Foresters complete a 3-0 pool play record with a 7-2 victory over the Liberal Bee Jays of Kansas.

Santa Barbara benefited from a shaky third inning by the Bee Jays which saw them balk in two runs and they allowed two more runs on wild pitches as the Foresters led 4-0 after three innings.

They added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning with Zane Becker and Carter Rutenbar delivering RBI singles.

After recording two shutouts in their first two wins, the Foresters finally allowed a run in the seventh inning and another one in the eighth.

Santa Barbara has won the NBC World Series a record 10 times.
