Saturday at the Santa Barbara County Fair

Many fair goers stand in line, waiting to get into the Santa Barbara County fair. A couple of events will be happening Saturday, which includes Out at the Fair, for its first annual celebration.

Weather is looking to be on the cooler side for Saturday. After the excessive heat wave is officially ending, and monsoonal moisture has approached, air quality continues to be good to moderate due to the ongoing Lake Fire.

Fairgoers get the chance to observe livestock from rabbits to turkeys, to chickens, all while enjoying rides under the partly cloudy skies. The air quality didn't seem to bother the livestock of amount of people visiting the fair park.

"Well it’s noticeable, the air quality Is yeah noticeable. But it hasn’t been that concerning, I haven’t noticed anything other than maybe a little congestion, the poultry seem to be handling it just fine" said Erin Kier, Community Club Leader and Poultry Leader, Nipomo 4H.

With the air quality being good to moderate here in Santa Maria due to the ongoing Lake Fire, fairgoers are still in attendance enjoying their beloved fair food and fair rides.

And great food was served at the fair, from puree'd juice, corn dogs and a bucket o' fries, fairgoers just need their tickets to make it complete with rides.
