Good Samaritan To Be Honored In Santa Maria Following Steven Cade Serenade

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (KEYT) - Good Samaritan Shelter’s DignityMoves Hope Village is hosting rising country music artist Steven Cade in Santa Maria this afternoon.

A one-hour live performance is scheduled for 3:00pm and immediately following, Cade will be donating the guitar he plays on to the Good Samaritan foundation.

The shelter’s spokesperson says members of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce will be joining the event, and will be presenting Good Samaritan with a special honor immediately following Cade’s music.

Having significantly exceeded its target goals of 200 individuals by now, Hope Village has served nearly 300 individuals in its first two years, actively transitioning clients into permanent housing.

75% of Hope Village’s “graduates” successfully remain housed long-term, and the village keeps about 100 unhoused people under a roof every day.

Santa Maria is on Cade’s list of stops for his international Giving Guitars Tour, in partnership with nonp-rofits Gibson Gives and the Guitar Center Music Foundation.

The tour seeks to raise funds and awareness for homelessness, and has been instrumental in boosting the local resources surrounding its stops.
