Santa Maria to pick up Christmas trees this week

City of Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Starting Monday, people living in Santa Maria can recycle their Christmas trees for free.

The city said you can leave trees three feet away from trash bins on your curbside, and crews will pick up unwanted trees during your neighborhood’s trash collection day.

This pick-up includes mobile homes and apartments.

Flocked and fake trees will not be accepted.

Charges apply for pick-ups after Jan. 12.
