National Purple Heart Day Celebration in the Santa Ynez Valley

BUELLTON, Calif. -- The Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach and Cloverlane Foundation partner to celebrate National Purple Heart day in Buellton.

The program will open with the Color Guard by Strategic Space Force Base out of Vandenberg, and will feature special presentations honoring local Purple Heart and Gold Star families by the; City of Buellton Vice Mayor John Sanchez, US Army Captain Special Forces Chuck Hrehor, retired; Yeoman Chief Petty Officer Jaculin R. Peterson, retired; and Vietnam Veteran and United States Army Ranger Hall of Fame inductee Ronnie Imel.

The public is welcome to join the celebration on the Avenue of Flags today from 11am-2pm.

There will be a free BBQ to follow prepared by Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach.

For more stay tuned on Your News Channel at 6, 10 and 11 pm.
