City of Lompoc hiring lifeguards at Aquatic Center
LOMPOC, Calif.- The Lompoc Aquatic Center staff says they are looking to hire anyone that meets the requirements to become a lifeguard.
The center is used for water polo tournaments, local swim teams, swimming lessons and more.
Jarred Torres from Lompoc says he loves swimming. He swam in high school and now works here as a lifeguard he says he enjoys working here.
“The work environment here is very welcoming very friendly. Everybody in the staff here gets along quite well. And from what I hear from some of my other friends who work at other jobs it's really hard to find an environment like that," said Jarred Torres a lifeguard.
Aquatic Center staff say having enough lifeguards is important because they want to continue offering the center’s services to the community for health and recreational needs.
