Lompoc Unified School District announces new superintendent

LOMPOC, Calif.– Dr. Clara A. Finneran has been selected as the new Lompoc Unified School District Superintendent set to begin in January of the new year.

Dr. Finneran joins the Lompoc community with 25 years of experience in education, most recently serving as Las Virgenes Unified School District Assistant Superintendent since 2016.

Dr.Finneran expressed excitement at the new opportunity to work with Lompoc families.

“I am honored to be the new superintendent in Lompoc Unified. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with the students, staff, and families of LUSD, and the entire community of Lompoc in order to serve the needs of each student. I am eager to meet you all and will be listening and learning as we begin our work together.”

Lompoc staff, parents, and students across LUSD schools will have an opportunity to meet and greet the new superintendent once her term begins.
