Santa Maria celebrates its Obon Festival at the Veterans Memorial

SANTA MARIA, Calif.- The Veterans Memorial in Santa Maria will hold a Obon Festival.

The Obon Festival honors the spirits of its ancestors in the Japanese Buddhist Culture.

The event always takes place in the summer and is celebrated around the world.

The event has Japanese food vendors, live performances and music.

Obon Festival starts at 12pm-5pm it will feature a raffle, dancing, Central Coast Kenpo Karate and more.

the Obon Festival will continue through the summer and will have its last stop in Los Angeles.
