Santa Maria police turn patrol vehicle pink for breast cancer awareness

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Santa Maria Police Department helps bring awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.

The police department teamed up with several local business and organizations to help bring awareness to October's Breast Cancer Awareness efforts.

The police station donned one of their patrol cars pink with a ribbon logo that signifies Breast Cancer Awareness and support.

They encourage residents to take a picture with the car and share it around the community to bring awareness to breast cancer patients.

Breast cancer affects one in eight women in the U.S.
