Carpinteria Rotary Members Prepare Avocado Festival Fundraiser

CARPINTERIA, Calif. (KEYT) - Members of the Carpinteria Rotary Club are preparing for one of the city’s largest annual celebrations.

The group will operate a booth during the Avocado Festival, using proceeds to support plans for a Peace Tree near the Veterans Memorial Building.

Rotary members say the project is intended to create a lasting place for reflection and bring people together in the community.

Preparations for the festival are underway, with volunteers organizing supplies, staffing and other details ahead of the event.

The fundraiser will give festivalgoers a chance to support the Peace Tree project while enjoying one of Carpinteria’s signature traditions.
