One southbound Highway 101 lane to be closed starting Tuesday, May 30

GAVIOTA, Calif. – Caltrans District 5 issued a reminder that on Tuesday, May 30, one southbound lane of Highway 101 south of the Gaviota Tunnel will be closed for a slope repair project.

Over the next few weeks, a temporary southbound lane will be created to accommodate the project.

The slope repair project is expected to extend over the next several months according to Caltrans District 5.
