Tree down on southbound Highway 101 Carrillo St on-ramp

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Rain and high winds blew a tree down onto the southbound Highway 101 on-ramp for Carrillo Street.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The ramp was completely closed off to traffic, according to Caltrans.

Officials advised commuters to take detours while Caltrans removes the large tree from the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol, there is no timeline for when the ramp will reopen.
