Two Goleta capital improvement projects begin with utility relocations on Feb. 6

City of Goleta

GOLETA, Calif. – Two City Capital Improvement Projects, the Ekwill Street & Fowler Road extension and the Hollister Avenue Bridge Relocation projects in Goleta, will begin the work of relocating utilities in conflict with the projects on Feb. 6.

Traffic impacts are expected on Hollister Avenue between State Route 217 and S. Kellogg Avenue for about four weeks after the Feb. 6 start date.

Eastbound and westbound lane closures will alternate as the relocation project continues.

Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Upon completion, the projects will add new east-west access across Old Town Goleta, two roundabouts on Hollister Avenue and flood control capacity improvements according to the city.
